SPIRIT offers for licensing software add-ons for Texas Instruments' C54CST chip (CST - Client Side Telephony). These software add-ons are intended to bring additional telephony functionality (e.g. G3 Fax, G.723.1) to the telephony software that is already ROMed into C54CST chip.
The following Add-ons for C54CST chip are available from SPIRIT today:
Inside C54CST
C54CST is a one-chip software + hardware solution based on Texas Instruments TMS320C5406 DSP chip and which ROM contains most demanded algorithms for Client Side Telephony that were provided to TI by SPIRIT:
- Data Communication (V.32/V.32bis, V.22/V.22bis, V.42, V.42bis)
- Telephony Signaling (DTMF, CPTD, Caller ID)
- Voice (G.168, G.726, G.711, VAD, AGC, CNG)
For more information on C54CST please visit Texas Instruments' site.
Add-ons Benefits
- C54CST Add-ons have extremely low memory and MIPS consumption, because they are based on SPIRIT CST software blocks in ROM
- NO EXTERNAL MEMORY required for a wide range of applications, thus minimizing the total system cost
- Users can easily build their own applications on top of C54CST Add-ons, to achieve User-specific functionality
- SPIRIT add-ons seamlessly fit SPIRIT CST and its Framework Layers, thus minimizing time required for integration of user's applications
